Ray. Renovation of a 19th-century apartment

The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a building dating back to 1875, with a view of a tree-lined courtyard. The owners, a young couple expecting their first child and residing abroad, asked for a comfortable and functional Parisian pied-à-terre.

The project aimed to completely renovate the space, optimizing circulation, creating an open kitchen connected to the living room, and providing a view of the exterior from the entrance. A handcrafted okoumé wood island offers a smooth transition between the entrance and the living area.
In the center of the apartment, opposite the kitchen, a partition with two sliding wooden doors serves as a threshold between the living and sleeping areas.
One door conceals a foldable desk, while the other leads to a generously sized bedroom. Finally, the area farthest from natural light includes a compact bathroom and storage space for a crib.
Particular attention was given to the choice of materials, ensuring a warm and soothing atmosphere.
